Buying a Home?

You’re thinking about buying a home. This leads to many questions. What area(s) are you interested in? What features in a home are important to you? How important is the school district? How much house can you afford? What are your financing options? What inspections should I have done?...

So, Where Do You Begin?

My job is to help buyers navigate through the entire process. Help them to ask the right questions, as well determine the answers to all of those questions. This is what I love to do. This is why I am a Realtor! Below, you’ll find some useful information to help you to get started on your search. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Steps for Buying a Home

Below are the steps to take to buy a home: 1 . Get prequalified for a mortgage. This way you’ll know how much house you can afford. Contact the bank or mortgage company of your choice, and they will step you through the process. I also have listed lenders that I have worked with in the Preferred Lenders box on this page. 2 . Contact a Realtor. Using a Realtor to represent you is a wise decision. It doesn’t cost you anything, and the Realtor will look after your best interest. By default, a Realtor represents the Seller, and therefore will do what’s in the best interest of the Seller. 3 . Start searching! There are many tools available to you today. The best tool to use is our Multiple Listing Service (MLS). It is the only place you can go and know the data is up to date. You can click on the links in the box below to search. It’s also a good idea to have a Realtor set you up to receive daily automated e-mails of homes that meet your criteria.
